A Woodland Wedding Inside the Gibbes Museum

Addi and Scott’s wedding at the Gibbes Museum brought the outdoors in, transforming the historic space into a tented forest full of rich woodsy textures and lush greenery.

Addi and her family have long supported and admired the Gibbes Museum, and the connection ran deep in the design. Addi and her mother share a love of interior design and texture, and together they set out to bring the outside in. That link to both the museum and the natural world made the space feel personal and familiar to the couple and their families.

Their planner described the day as warm and full of wonder, an experience that felt otherworldly. Bringing natural, woodsy elements indoors turned the museum into something closer to a living space, blurring the line between architecture and nature for the day.
